In our research on the effectiveness of the bus network in the island of La Palma, we have taken into account the connection among its nodal points, freccuency and time. They show that the effectiveness of the system between the north and the central area is unbalanced. This capacity is greater in the central area of the island, where the inhabitants have higher incomes. This contributes to an increase in the social and economic differences within the islanders.
