Abstract

Six morphometric maps (scale 1:8.000.000) were made by calculating numerical values for each and every one ofthe 2.200 topographic charts which cover the whole of the national territory. These morphometric maps are as follows: 1) Base leve} of erosion (2.600 m.). 2) Summit levels (5.700 m.). 3) Relief amplitude (4.700 m.). 40 Dissection density (9.6 Km/sq. Km). 5) Disection depth (1.600 m.) and 6) Slopes (> 25 degrees). The numbers given in parenthesis are the maximum value found for each map. The construction of these maps is based on an ample sequence ofvalues. Thus, they are an original quantitative information non-available in Mexico before. This cartographic material has already been published part ofthe National Atlas of Mexico.
