Abstract

This paper provides a conceptual framework of elderly migration according to the decision making procese. The migration is presented as a complete spatial and social system related to migratory behaviours and residential strategies. A typology of movements in Spain is proposed; it emphasizes several topics (decision maker, personal characteristics, reasons for moving, destination, housing, etc.).
