Travelling across Spanish roads and ways has been difficult throughout our history, because our country orography, and water erosion caused by our stormy weather. Many evidences of that are found in historic itineraries, ancient repertoires of routes, or journeys books, and treatises about Spanish roads. Deficient state of roadway network has played an important part in our socioeconomic progress. Even today, resources for road erosion control are limited.
