Duration and characteristics of the climatic-touristic summer season in Catalonia

The many links that exist between tourist activities and atmospheric elements invite to make an evaluation of the potentiality of the climate resource. This analysis of the geographical and chronological variations of touristic potential of the climate in Catalonia starts from a classification of the daily situations according to the most important combinations of the climatic variables in the region, tinted for bioclimatic criteria and the tourist perception. Previously, as a first approximation to the evaluation of the potentiality, we establish the climatic-touristics seasons and the duration of them in different places of the territory.
