Abstract


The contribution, without intending to elaborate a history of the Chilean boundaries, explores in the means used by Chilean political society in order to organize their political territory in wich one to operate. A first topic in the observation is as is reached, through the time, the figure of a maritime and tricontinental country, without penetrating in ideological iconographies, neither in the poetical romanticism. This facilitates approach the various pieces that it give form to Chilean State»s territories, including the study of the limits of the same.
