Abstract

The rural world is tumbling down: ageing in Castilla-León. The ageing population is a recent process. Today the social and economist result are unforesseable. In Spain, this process has special atributes in his evolution, structure and unequal spatial distribution. The structural characteristics which allow a valuation of the demographic dynamic of a given group do not offer an optimistic outlook for Castilla-León,due to the index of old age registered. This progressive regenerative deterioration is due to the fall in the birth rate and the lack of young people.
