This study analyses the recent transformations suffered by the irrigated land in the central sector of the Depression of the Ebro river, above all, since the incidence of the restructuring processes in the urban industry. This is going to change population activities and land ocupation. The most flashy aspect, alghough not the only one, is the substitution of traditional growings, such as vegetables, for other of extensive character as irrigated or industrial growing. This situation allows a generalization of the part-time agriculture.
