Some changes on the inmigrant legislation, on the involved civil service and on the perception of immigrants have occurred in the eighties since the mass migrants begin to enter in Spain. Polish refugees changed their status to become economic immigrants taking part in the 1991 rgularization process when organized by the Spanish officials. Their demographic, economic and social features run for the real integration into the Spanish society helped by their interest to be integrated and the NGOs activities. But there are some other barriers to trouble, coming from the behaviour ofnSpanish bureaucracy and society regarding the immigrants.
