This article explains the methodology and techniques employed for the inclusion of matters pertaining to landscape in an environmental impact analysis within the framework of a proyect for a high-altitude road through the Sierra Nevada Mountains (Spain). We begin with the concept of perceptual landscape and also include a methodological proposal along with the logical stages of analyses of this type (E.I.A.): inventory, project, identification and evaluation of impacts, and possible correctional measures.
