Agrobusiness is one of the most important sectors of Spanish industry. This activity has experienced important changes in the last years in order to adapt to the European Community preexisting conditions. In spite of these transformations, a lot of our companies still keep many of their traditional features. It takes them to a disadvantageous position when competing with european companies. For that reason, thia sector still needs a big neshaping effort to improve its competitivity. This fact may have negative consequences because it may lead not only to the disappearance of an important number of small companies, but also to the loss of employement.
