Abstract

Geographic lnformation and Geographic lnformation Systems, 2. A review of some crucial aspects of Geographic lnformation Systems (GIS) technology is given.

The different spatial data modele, the relationships between GIS and general database management systems, as well as several GIS procedures are discussed. The approach is logical, i.e. conceptual, for the most part.
