Enclosed is a proposal for the application of various cartographic methods for the research of the agrarian landscape on the Mondejar Area (Guadalajara). For this purpose, two aspects have been taken into consideration, on one hand, the land cover in its immediate appearance and, on the other, the changes that
have occurred between 1956 and 1985. Thus, we are following a methodological postulate that utilizes the Thematic Mapping as a method of research.
Three maps have been designed. The first two are analytical and represent the caracteristics of the land cover in two different moments. The third one is a dynamic map, developed from the first two maps that represents the changes which have occurred in the land cover between those moments. The Dynamic Mapping will expres the evolution of the spatial subjects.
In its design, special care has been given to achieving an adecuate cartographic language, with a logical use of the legend and the visual vanables: color and value.
