This article is an approximation to the characteristics ofthe agrrian structure in a regional mountainous space. In this mountainous space, orographic configuration, different models of settlements in the territory through history and the recent rural exodus are sorne ofthe elements wich have influenced the agrarian structures in a direct and sometimes negative way. Nowadays the most serious problem facing a balanced territorial order and to satisfy the prioritary objective of every social-structural policy (that is to say to compensate the inter and intra regional imbalance) is, in our opinion, the clear aging process ofthe population and consequently that of the area's agrarian employers. This difficulty invalidates the measures directed to improve and to modernize the agrarian
explotation.
