Cultural centres in Madrid: a geographical analysis of provision and use.

Last decade, regional and local public administration has payed growing attention to a type of public facilities, cultural centres. In this paper an analysis of unequalfrovision at regional and intraurban levels is developed in the Aut.onomous Region o Madrid. Besides, based on a case study, a description of the users and their trips (including distance-decay models) is presented. The findings provide an initial evaluation of social and spatial impact ofthe cultural supply.
