The objet of this article is to present international contributions to the Geography of ageing and the elderly grouped in the focuses following: a) Geographical distribution and localization of ageing and elderly persons. b) Spatial behaviour and environmental contest of elderly persons. e) Migrations and mobility in old age. Finally, it offers a view of Social Gerontology as a point of interdisciplinary convergence of the social sciences that have elderly people subject of study.
