Abstract

Literature provides descriptions of the real world that let us configure ideal landscapes in our minds. The geographical space perceived within The Quixote has let us know the most famous geographical items in La Mancha. Its reading from a geographical point of view let us discover the physical and human data which form part of its story. The environment and the social organization are distributed within every chapter as the plot base. Finally, through the adventures, we can perceive the life that breaths in its landscapes and transforms them into a geographical space. It is the aim of the cultural geography to provide the intellectual, theorical and methodological skills necessary for its comprehension.
