Estudios Geográficos

Estudios Geográficos is a scientific journal published by CSIC and edited by the Instituto de Economía, Geografía y Demografía at CCHS, with an international and interdisciplinary vocation whose purpose is the publication of research aimed at the resolution of human problems that have a spatial dimension. The journal admits original and unpublished contributions, with a conceptual, methodological or empirical nature, whose object of study is the territory, landscapes and geographical places.

Founded in 1940 at the Institute Juan Sebastián Elcano it began to be available online in 2007, in PDF format, maintaining printed edition until 2019. That year it became an electronic journal publishing in PDF, HTML and XML-JATS. Contents of previous issues are also available in PDF files.

Estudios Geográficos is indexed in Web of Science: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), SCOPUS, CWTS Leiden Ranking (Journal indicators), ERIH Plus, REDIB, DOAJ and other national and international databases. It is indexed in Latindex Catalogue 2.0.
